GGC’s First Date with Kevin Moshayedi

It’s now our third first date (well, fourth if you count our double date last week) and we’re pretty confident. Today we’re getting to know Kevin Moshayedi, the founder of Ark Collective. Ark makes the best get-to-give backpacks out there, with each purchase supporting students in the US by giving them a backpack for school.

Hi Kevin! So nice to meet you. So, where did you grow up?

Southern California. A little bit of Anaheim and a little bit of Newport Beach - nice influence from both.

We’re already jealous. Do you have any siblings?

Yes, I have a younger bro! Yo B!

If you could travel to one place tomorrow, where would you go?

Cape Town, SA. Gotta kick it with my extended siblings Yuri and Frank.

Cape Town is amazing, one of our co-founders lived there for some time there and fell in love. Where exactly is Ark Collective located?

Currently in Aliso Viejo, CA.

I don’t know why but I am seeing a polar bear with a nice pair of shades loungin’ with a frosty beverage.

The Economist and my glasses I barely wear but should more often. Oh, and duck confit..Always need a bedside snack!
